Dispatch From the Privy Council

Having disposed of the pseudoissue of circumcision, we shall move onto more important matters.

At our annual confab meeting (held in aforementioned secret location) we determined the following:

Resolved:
Big money cannot be made in medicine and it sucks your soul.

Solution:
1. Build time machine.
2. Invest in real estate in currently hot resort town in 1984.
3. Be rich.
4. Avoid medicine at all costs.

The resolution passed unanimously. We then finished the seventh pitcher of beer.

When successful this blog will vanish. Out.

7 comments:

  1. Another option would be to find rich trustafarian wife (after using that time machine).

  2. Having returned from the meeting, I am hard at work on the time machine. So far I have 2 AA bateries, a milk carton, a rabbits foot and 3 peyote buttons. I believe I have already traveled back in time and am typing this from the past, therefore proving that it works.

  3. Your location wasn't "secret". We know perfectly well that you were hiding in the ER Doc's sleeping room--- which was littered with a TV blaring some ball game or CNN, leftover hospital trays of hospital shit-on-a-shingle, the latest batch of Levaquin/Immitrex/Skelaxin samples, and a picture of Hilary Clinton with a bullseye drawn on it (with a lot of darts stuck in it, as well as a hand-drawn mustache).

  4. dear bohemian road nurse,
while your guesses were correct in some regards we actually did meet just two days ago and it was most certainly not in the ED docs call room. further explanation will not be forthcoming as various government agencies would love to know more about us and are, at this very moment, watching all airports and train stations for our return (that's why we are travelling on horseback).
    cheers.

  6. DAMN! It didn't work. Hey radioactive girl, have you recovered from your surgery?

  7. I am totally confusing everyone because my thyroid surgery was almost two years ago, and my ovary stuff and hysterectomy were almost a year ago. I'm just now telling the stories because people asked me to, and I am doing it so slowly that everyone keeps asking me if I'm ok. I am totally fine now (other than following some things in my lungs and a few not quite suspicious enough to do anything about, but not completely harmless lymph nodes). Thank you for remembering and caring!
