Random thoughts from a few cantankerous American physicians. All contributors are board certified. Various specialties are represented here. I do not know where this will lead but hope it will at least be an enjoyable read. All of the names mentioned in this blog are pseudonyms, the ages have been changed, and in half the cases the gender as well. All photographs are published with patient consent or are digitally altered to preserve anonymity. Trust us, we're doctors.
I understand a concurrent study on global warming would see a spike in people exclaiming, 'Is it or hot or just me?'
ReplyDeleteIts not the Heat, its the Humidity
ReplyDeleteI wish it would have been globally warm on Sunday when I did my triathlon. I shivered through the entire thing!
ReplyDeleteYes but will it be a dry heat?
ReplyDeleteI call bull shit on that paper. What they fail to mention is that the paper isn't based on anything new. It's based on the known fact that if you don't drink enough, you could see an increase in kidney stones. Or dehydration.
I'm going to be primary author on a paper citing the fact that if global warming follows current trends across the globe you docs are going to see an alarming statistically significant decrease in cases of frost bite.
Global warming has historically been a very good thing for the planet and human beings. Especially the impoverished ones. Just google the midieval warming period. (It's a secret, the climate change hacks don't want you to know about this one.)
news flash.
ReplyDeletejust released harvard study confirms heat related illnesses on increase in summer months!
frostbite more common in polar regions.
mosquitoes more prevalent in tropical regions.
broken ankles more common in icy conditions.
hear-attacks in the young linked to cocaine abuse.
more soon.
