Fee-for-Service Makes a Comeback

Recently I went so far as to travel across the country to meet with some consultants, well known in the clinic start-up game, hoping they would encourage me in my simple fee-for-service idea. They told me it could not be done and that I would be stupid to try. The reasons are not important right now, what's important is that they were wrong!

The beautiful thing is that I can already perform this procedure (though I have not done so to date), and it's only a piddling little moral aversion I have that needs to be overcome. Hell, come to think of it, YOU could perform this procedure (but I have a license, hahaha). I also LOVE the fact that my patients will pay cash up front, and that I can get a sweetheart deal with one of my pals to back me up in my decisions to 'operate'. Turns out that when you are the only game in town it's easy to find people with money in their wallets. Easy street here I come.

  1. I can't believe this butcher was found innocent. From what I understand this monster did some abortions in the NINTH month....for reasons such as "mental health" that had nothing to do with the saving the life of the mother....and I guess made a killing (pardon the pun) at it.

And from the legal end, this consultant is supposed to be "independent" of the doctor....but her only clients were HIS patients.....and her desk was even in HIS office.....

God...the world is really fucked up!

    Yuck.
Is that the doctor falling off into the fire and you hanging on, right on the edge? ;-)

I think you should try plastic surgery, lots of aging baby boomers who don't want to grow old...

  3. 1) I am glad that my appendix was not removed before the fee could be paid. Obviously, dying because we could not afford it kind of sucks.

    2) Do you shitheads even read history? History books? Anything? I know that book learnin' is librul but this sort of behavior has been around since doctors were around. Seriously. GO TO A LIBRARY.

  4. I think Hannah Montana didn't understand the jist of the post. Perhaps Ms. Hannah needs to go check out a book on reading comprehension....

  8. Now now Anon,

It's the thought that counts...at least Hannah tried. That's all that matters in the world of English composition today, that you tried.

We wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings now, would we?

  12. A classic palindrome, like "Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward to new era?"

Dr. Drackman, is this: "the same frontwards or backwards," a reference to the legendary "front butt?"

  14. He most certainly is and I will spare you all the obligatory posturing. Murder is murder and the perp should be given the max allowable sentence the law allows.
