A prayer for the troops
Let's all remember today the soldiers at Fort Hood killed and wounded in the shooting. These young men chose to serve their country only to be cut down at home in a "random" act of violence by a "moderate" Muslim reportedly yelling "Allah Akbar", while calmly shooting his fellow soldiers. A let's also remember the virgins in heaven anxiously awaiting this ass hole, who couldn't even martyr himself correctly. Let's hope the military will do it for him, and that our soldiers won't have to aim their weapons inward as well as outward.

evidently a female police officer, who was shot by the murderer, managed to put four rounds in him (she is okay). unfortunately he got immediate medical attention and is now puffing on a vent. the only reason i'm glad he's alive is so we can see how deep his links go and chase them down. sad day for the Army... i have many Army colleagues and they are the salt of the earth.
ReplyDeleteKinda makes you wish we could still waterboard 'em...They'll set him up in a plush cell and ask for info politely...
ReplyDeleteHow hard do you think Obama is pushing to have this NOT labeled as a terror attack?
My thoughts are prayers are with those families. Our soldiers should never be unsafe at home.
Oh...I heard the murderer's cousin on Fox news yesterday...he said...
ReplyDelete"He's a good man." I almost threw my dinner plate through the TV. How dare this guy try to defend someone who is clearly a terror attacking nut job murderer.
Exactly. What. I. Expected.

The man was clearly unstable...he's a psychiatrist for crying out loud(And I have yet to meet a sane shrink).
ReplyDeleteIf he does survive, prepare for a long trial(where the defense will argue insanity).
My apology for leaving the women who sacrificed and stopped this man out of the initial post.
ReplyDeleteAs to the unstable part of it, if he is found to have a deep seated hatred of the West, the military, and Christianity in general, on internet postings, his computer, or through associates the "insanity" defense is bullshit. The 911 hijackers weren't "insane", and trust me, in 15 years of ED medicine I've seen some insane folks.
Watch how the MSM will stifle the news about this guy...due to his mideastern sounding name.
ReplyDeleteSteve
Also, they will play up the fact that he "didn't believe in the wars" (bbooo hooo).
ReplyDeleteHow in the cause of freedom could we force somebody to go to war?!!? I mean, the guy has scruples right?!?!?
Steve
What a friggin fruit loop, if he didn't want to go to I-hateAmerica-Stan he could have just offered to blow his Commanding Officer, or smoke some whacky tabacky, or get caught jerkin off in the OR, like I did...

Thank you, Frank, for once again keyeing-in on the important details we may have missed, otherwise.
ReplyDeleteMost of the media has, or will have moved onto the Reynolds, Smith & Hills' shootings in my area, and I feel for them as I know many RS&H folks. The media will never adequately compare the individual nutjob, that exists on its own, with the driven jihadi nutjob aspects.
RS&H Nutjob Rodriguez: They fired me two years ago and left me to rot, while I lived at my mom's house.
Ft. Hood Nutjob Hasan: I have preached jihad for years and advocated suicide attacks, while having my education paid for by the people I despise and been gainfully employed by them.
These are entirely analogous.
Talking of nutjobs - I have heard nothing more about the shooting in Los Angeles. Remember that? A couple of weeks ago? The two Jewish people shot and injured near their synagogue. Whatever became of that story? It also was "not thought to be a hate crime", the last I read.
ReplyDeleteHey now Cat, I'm not the one really saying he's "unstable" just the thing the MSM is saying. I'm just saying I think him being a shrink is the best argument of insanity.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, the padre(my local parish priest, but he was in the Air Force for 30 years) and I talked at length about the Fort Hood shooting. The only good thing is he'll probably have to go before a military jury. I doubt his peers will buy an insanity defense.
If he goes before a military jury....will he have to do "hard" time in a federal brig/jail/what do they call them in the military?
ReplyDeleteHard time=busting rocks with a 10 pound sledge hammer...
Steve
What a waste of a medical education.

ReplyDeleteLife with the possibility of parole and up to Death. I'd call that about has hard as prison gets in our modern times.
If he survives, Fort Leavenworth, here he comes.
ReplyDeleteHe'll claim some sort of religious mistreatment and for him Leavenworth will resemble a spa. Trust me on this.
ReplyDeleteAnd the US will politely bend over and take it in the rump from another parasite.
A guy I knew in college went to college and med school (psychiatrist) thanks to the Navy. I saw him at our 15-yr reunion. He was no longer in the Navy. Why? He decided he was a conscientious objector. I wanted to know if he had repaid the taxpayer for the cost of his education, but could not ask the question without losing my temper, so just walked away. Was CO not an option for this guy?
ReplyDeleteI saw a one sentence comment in a news article stating that doctors were doing what they could to preserve Munley's ability to walk. It sounds like her injuries were serious. Wonder if the "thigh" wound caused major pelvic trauma.

ReplyDeleteGot that right. My stats of patient encounters: 5/5.
