From: The Basics Of Photography by Chris Haslego
Photography captures a moment in time. It is a creative process as much as painting or writing and has the power to communicate the meaning of a scene or event. Photography is simple to learn yet at the same time challenging to execute. Learning the finer nuances of photography is based on three key aspects - Light, aesthetics and focus. Understanding these three aspects forms the basis of expressing yourself effectively through photography.

That is glorious! Thank you for brightening my day by posting this.
ReplyDeleteI rarely discuss politics, but that was way too funny. Where in the world did you find that picture?
ReplyDeleteIf this is an example of 'good' American photography I must say we did it better in Russia. The focus is off and this Hillary person is very boring while also being hideous. Am I missing something? This is a standard throw-away photo no?
ReplyDeleteCan't stop laughing.
ReplyDeleteobtw lofty, thanks for taking this formerly classy operation into the steamy crevices of nastiness with this post. oops, i did it too (sparkle? sunshine!).
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I think Hilary is quite attractive for a 60 year old. If she had remained a Goldwater girl I'd be all over it.
ReplyDeletefrank,
ReplyDeletedid you lose a bet or something? it's not april 1... hmmmmmm.
Nah, 911, but Hilary wasn't that bad back in the 60's if you're into the Hippy look. Bill Clinton married her, so she must have been into sex at that time. I'm a little bummed this weekend, just found out Winona Ryder is playing Spocks human mom in the Star Trek movie out next year, and not a pointy eared Vulcan chick.
ReplyDeletePhotos like this make me yearn for Life Magazine. This would have made a perfect cover.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, happy National Doctor’s Day!
sparkle? sunshine! Hehehe
ReplyDeleteA picture is worth a thousand words. This one proves it. Thank you for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteI suggest you all read C*nt by Inga Muscio. This picture will take on a completely different meaning.

Lofty, I know you're new to the blog, but seriously, you gotta' say what you REALLY think here! Don't hold back anymore.
ReplyDeleteLofty, were you my dad in a prior life? (Switching to Andy Rooney voice) Juh ever notice women really hate the word "Cunt"? You can have a tough nosed hooker, she slapped Al Capone and ran guns for Castro, but call her the C-word and she cries like Luci Ricardo. Why is that? Its like kryptonite with superman.
ReplyDeleteSorry, got a little fired up there. Be patient with me, I'll figure this blogging thing out at some point.
ReplyDeleteCan anybody use their super-PhotoShop abilities to paste Dr. Deborah Peel into this photo too??
ReplyDeleteWow--someone photoshopped a picture...mmm.
ReplyDeletelofty:
ReplyDeletekeep up the rants...brilliant.
