Silence from Washington

Is it just me or has Obama been rather quiet since his glorious victory which righted all the wrongs ever committed by the 'ice people' and provided everyone with everything they want and peace on earth? Is it just me or has he kinda shuffled to the center on a bunch of issues? Can't wait till he fixes health care because right now I remain a 'locums cowboy' and there's that whole Willie Nelson thing to explain why this is not a good long term solution for me.

Dear Mr. President-elect Obama, I hereby present myself for nomination to Surgeon General, humbly and with head bowed. It would be seen as a master stroke, a reach across the aisle, and would play very much to your benefit. Especially since I can either kick ass or not, depending on what you want that particular day, and will either blame outside forces for everyone's medical problems or blame them... you tell me, I'm nothing if not flexible. Plus, those government benefits and retirement plan would me mucho sweet AND my wife would have to address me as 'General'.

  2. He does seem to be moderate at the moment. No matter what they run on..when they see the facts that the public isn't privy to...it must be an eye opener and I'll bet the sitting president doesn't look so misguided to him anymore... on terrorist affairs.

I am looking forward to see what he can accomplish. I hope he is successful for the good of the country. He probably isn't liberal enough fast enough for the far left.

So...General 911 Doc... what would be your first order of business if you had the choice?

  3. Democratic Presidents have traditionally used cabinet positions to keep people quiet, so unless you can dig up some dirt on P. O. (President Obama), it's not likely he'll take a competent doctor out of practice.

  5. Hey 9-11 ain't bein your own Boss great!?!?! Even if you get acused of Sexual Harassment its all good. But bein Surgeon General BLOWS, first of all, you're not really a Surgeon OR a General, and you have to wear that Gay-Ass White Navy Uniform, that every Heterosexual Navy Officer trys to avoid wearing at all costs...I think the last Surgeon General who was really a Surgeon was Carmona, then before him it was that Koop fruitcake....

  6. if mrs. 911doc calls you general, we'll have to have a little chat..of course unless she wants to be mrs. general and do that fun party scene in d.c. and it would be a lot of wearing tuxes and those red power ties and of course balllgowns for the missus.

  7. Why don't you make some campaign promises? Like a Yard-O-Beef for every patient(paid for under Barack Obama's universal healthcare plan)?

But yeah, they'll never actually hire someone who could make an actual solution to the problems this country faces. The brownnosing bureaucrats and worthless politicians need jobs, even if they contribute little to society.

  8. I prefer a "reach-around" the aisle, if you know what I mean, but if you like to reach across, that's ok too.

I sure hope he doesn't give a tax break to people to buy their own health insurance and let the market forces work. Centralization always works. I can't wait for my social securty checks to start rolling in.

  9. You have my vote. Can you find a way to appoint me as head of the FDA? I want to get out of acute care and ride the gravey train of kick backs.

  13. My father in law went to Harvard Law School. I think Barney Frank was in his class. He even has a fancy law school chair. My son peed on it.

Just think 911, if you're the surgeon general you can spend all your time thinking up little black box warnings for everything so all of us dumb folks can be kept safe from ourselves.

  14. Our children need all the protection they can get from the deadly guaifenesin and trimethobenzamide.

Ohh yea, they already did that. Maybe you can save us from the dreaded vaccines that jenny mcshitforbrains says is killing our children.
