Random thoughts from a few cantankerous American physicians. All contributors are board certified. Various specialties are represented here. I do not know where this will lead but hope it will at least be an enjoyable read. All of the names mentioned in this blog are pseudonyms, the ages have been changed, and in half the cases the gender as well. All photographs are published with patient consent or are digitally altered to preserve anonymity. Trust us, we're doctors.
That was demented! :D
ReplyDeletePearl is a future IRS agent, or Energy Czar.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who finds the pimping out of that sweet baby reprehensible? It really is telling about our society when we think that two year olds spewing foul language is funny. It's one thing for adults, but please let's not applaud the corruption of innocents.
ReplyDeleteamy,
ReplyDeletei thought about that too, but then i thought that at two she wouldn't remember any of it. i may be wrong. i just wanted to post something other than medicine, but i share your concerns.
No, Amy. You're not the only one.
ReplyDeleteI agree with 911, that the kid won't remember any of it, but I wonder about a parent that would think it appropriate to encourage a child to say those things in any venue.
Hollywood parents.
I would love to be a fly on the wall when that little one decides to "run her lines" in front of the in-laws or at a party at the boss's house.
ReplyDeletei have a feeling the grandparents are not happy.
ReplyDelete911DOC,
ReplyDeletekeep 'em coming doc. I loved it!!
I saw this a while ago and thought the same thing Amy. I remember laughing and then not being sure how I was supposed to feel about it after I thought about that.
ReplyDeleteMy oldest is 11 and has said things that make me think she remembers when she was around the age of 2. Things that really stuck out in her mind as being different are what she remembers, as I'm sure this would for that child.
I share some of the concerns, yet found it pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, having been born in Ecuador, then moved to Spain, and not come to the States until I was 5, I remember some of Spain. However, I am incapable of following even basic conversations in Spanish. I have to read Spanish, very slowly, to recognize the words and get some meaning.
That was funny - but the outtakes was even funnier!
