No shit, honest to goodness...
Me: Sir, how tall are you?
Patient: I have no idea.
ER visits this year. Twenty. Also couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV. Have a great night.
P.S. Also took care of a lady who came in by ambulance from the amusement park for nausea on the tilt-a-whirl. No shit.

Ummm 9-11, don't wanta sound like a Hater... but why in the hell are ya askin a patient how tall they are??? Just put a line on the wall at the triage desk like they do at the Carnival..Don't tell me you were calculating creatine clearance or BMI, you don't strike me as an Internist type...
ReplyDeletePeople lie about stuff like that anyway... just ask my wife, hey it looked like 10 inches to me.
And some of those TVs aren't that simple to turn on... Especially when you've got a Satellite/DVR/BlueRay/Theatre system..
20 ER Visits?? Let me guess the Diagnoses..
1: Chronic Pain/Fibromyalgia
2: Irritable Bowel Syndrome
3: Irritable Snatch Syndrome
4: Can't Turn on the TV syndrome
Frank
frank,
ReplyDeletegreat question. you smart for round-eye. i thought the kid might have marfan's... pectus deformity, screwed up fingers, and spontaneous ptx in past. you are right, i am not an internist type, but from time to time i enjoy pulling some internist diagnosis out my ass just to piss 'em off.
Hey 911, a bit off-topic...
