Random thoughts from a few cantankerous American physicians. All contributors are board certified. Various specialties are represented here. I do not know where this will lead but hope it will at least be an enjoyable read. All of the names mentioned in this blog are pseudonyms, the ages have been changed, and in half the cases the gender as well. All photographs are published with patient consent or are digitally altered to preserve anonymity. Trust us, we're doctors.
Those doctors are a bunch of lapdogs that probably never had a private practice.
ReplyDeleteAnd our current administration is like a theatre troupe. Everything is about staging, image, no substance.
I know you all have lab coats, right? I mean isn't that what makes a doctor a doctor? How can you trust that someone knows what he's doing if he isn't wearing a lab coat?
ReplyDeleteOk, I've known several docs I've never seen wear them. Scrubs, OTOH, make good jammies.
i've got four or five of them and i hate 'em and haven't worn them since med school. beware of emergency physicians in white coats or ties... they are usually trained in something else and are trying to impress with their haberdashery.
ReplyDeleteI was recently at a university hospital and at a posh private hospital, and absolutely EVERYONE was wearing scrubs: from doctors down to the cleaning folks. The only difference was the color of the scrubs...green for docs, blue for nurses, beige for the cleaning crew, etc.
ReplyDeleteSo the Obama "staging" was obsolete; right out of Marcus Welby.
You mean those were doctors in those coats?
ReplyDeleteI thought it was butchers and meat packers supporting Obamacare, and I thought, "How apropos."
nice to hear from you AD!
ReplyDeleteif journalists still existed we would know by now if those were docs, or, more likely PhD academics... oh well.
here's my guess about dr support for obamacare...
50% of academicians, maybe less but none will admit it.
20% of pdrivate practitioners... the 20% who are either failing in business or have simply been beaten into submission.
