Random thoughts from a few cantankerous American physicians. All contributors are board certified. Various specialties are represented here. I do not know where this will lead but hope it will at least be an enjoyable read. All of the names mentioned in this blog are pseudonyms, the ages have been changed, and in half the cases the gender as well. All photographs are published with patient consent or are digitally altered to preserve anonymity. Trust us, we're doctors.

ReplyDeletei may never know, and for you MS1, that's just the reality of working in the ER. next time i speak with the heme-onc guys, maybe in six weeks? i may remember to ask. and another thing MS1, the last thing i told this very nice guy before i sent him upstairs was that he had something horribly wrong with him that would likely kill him though we would do everything in our power etc... i was sincere. he shook my hand and thanked me. and thus it is that i still learn a lot from my patients... the highs and lows of life are right in the ER... it makes for a bipolar existence.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it wasn't Mark Richt...
ReplyDeletetheoretically of course, we all know he walks on water and would just rise again on the 3rd day...
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
anyways, beating the Gators once every 20 years is pretty good for a nice Christian Man.
and it's gallows humor, and tell the truth 9-11, your in Ca-hoots with the GI guys..now everytime my ass itches I'll wonder if I should wait till I'm 50 to get my but scoped..
PS 08 Army Doc, and what a coincidence, I used to call myself "88 Navy Doc" cause I graduated in 1988, till I found out "88" is White Supremicist Lingo for "Heil Hitler", "H" being the 8th letter of the alphabet...but "08" seems ok.
Umm I think what your calling the "Spleen" is actually the............

ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch. Crazy stuff. I showed this to a few buddies and we enjoyed scratching our heads.
But, I have an exam in 3 hours, and I spent the entire night on the rig. Back to the books.
